EOL on February 29, 2016

bounceHammer have been downloaded and used by many users and companies since the first release on March 2010 and has been EOL: End Of Life on February 29, 2016. Thanks for using bounceHammer for a long time. We are now providing Sisimai (the successor of bounceHammer, more faster, more higher precision of analysis) as a bounce mail parser library in BSD 2-Clause License.

Get multiple records from DB

search - Getting Data by Field and Value

Beginning with bounceHammer 2.4.0, HTTP API(search) is for getting data from a database by specifying a field and a value. The purpose of this API(search) is to get data from other host or network via HTTP.

In The Case of Mass Email Delivery

If you want to get many records for verifying email addresses before mass email delivery, you may use datadumper command instead of this API.

How to use API(search)

A URL for getting data via API(search) is the following format:
http://Hostname (bounceHammer is running)/CGI Script name of API/search/Field/Value.
Available field names and values are the following:

token Message token Search by message token: is equivalent to select/Message Token
addresser Email address Search by sender's email address
recipient Email address Search by recipient's email address
senderdomain Domain name Search by the domain part of sender's email address

reason Name of Reason Search by reason of email bounce
hostgroup HostGroup name Search by HostGroup name
provider Provider name Search by Provider name

Note that Searching by a field except a recipient, an id, and a token may use many memory of a web server.
